“Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure” Queue Line Redesign

I redesigned the queue line of "Remy's Ratatouille Adventure" to feel more like YOU are becoming a rat the further you go in and the closer you get to the ride.

The beginning of the queue line starts outside on the "streets of Paris." I added some feature of hidden rats (like Hidden Mickeys) such as silhouettes of rats on the walls, footprints on the ground, and small rat statues on the light post. Hard to find, right?

I made the first interior room of the line a dimly lit space with fiber optics dancing on the walls, simulating the feelings and visions Remy has when he eats good food in the movie. I also added large 3D models of food - perfect for a photo op!

This is where the fun begins! You enter the dark, cool sewer, with water dripping on top of you (perfect for that summer weather), and you see shadows (projections) of rats moving along the walls, but here's the catch: there almost the size of you!

In the last room before getting your 3D glasses and entering the ride, you see a large animatronic of Remy riding the cookbook down the sewer. He's larger than life itself as he tries to hang on for dear life!
